Foundations for online success - one step at a time

Autoresponders are the mainstay of any online business

Autoresponders are the mainstay of any online business as they allow you to build your list and stay in touch with your prospects and clients automatically. The Auto in Autoresponder says it all because as you grow your business, automation is one of the keys to success.

In the online world, you are dealing with billions and yes I did say billions with a B of potential prospects because there are over a billion people on the Internet now and this number increases by 5 million+ per month and yes they are all potential prospects for you.

Without an Autoresponder, you would have to manually send dozens or hundreds of messages daily and manually keep track of who received what and when. You can do this if you only have a few contacts, but only having a few contacts is not going to make you money.

You need thousands of prospects on your list to generate a decent income because not everyone is going to buy from you. I base my advertising on getting 1/10 of 1% of my prospects to buy something and this equates to 1 out of 1,000 prospects buying.

If you’re selling something that generates $50 income to you and you have a list of 1,000 people, you can expect to make about one sale or $50. If however you have a list of 10,000 people, you can expect to make 10 sales or $500. This is where your Autoresponder becomes invaluable to you because you cannot send 10,000 emails individually and most email services will not allow you to send that number of emails anyway.

Automation is the key to success and your Autoresponder automates this most important aspect of online marketing. Working online without an Autoresponder is like trying to swim in mud. You’ll waste a lot of time and energy and never get anywhere.

An autoresponder is one of the free tools included in the online marketing system that I use. Find out more info….

The Importance of Advertising

Posted by Richard on August 7th, 2008

Advertising is the key to your success online and unfortunately it is also the curse to many people working online.

Let me explain the curse first so you understand exactly what I mean on this. Many people come online, join a program whether it is free or paid does not matter at this point and then they don’t advertise their program.

Hey, if you don’t advertise, you don’t make sales it is that simple and I don’t care what the program, product or service tells you, you MUST advertise and you MUST advertise continuously.

This is the curse because people don’t want to spend money advertising or they are told they don’t need to advertise or they just don’t believe in advertising. Whatever the reason, their business is doomed to failure because there is not a single successful company in the world—offline or online that does not advertise.

Look around at the amount of advertising from very well known companies and you’ll see what I mean.

Okay so I need to advertise, but where and how much do I do was the original question. The short answer to this is you need to advertise as much as you can and everyplace you can and you never stop advertising.

Not all advertising will result in direct sales or signups to your capture page or anything at all for that matter if you look at things from a short term perspective. However, if you look and think long term, you will see that everything you do today will come back and help you at some point in the future—if you’re consistent.

You invest today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year and you never stop investing in your company.

Traffic, banners, classified ads, traffic exchanges, safelists, FFA pages, SEO can all be used to enhance more expensive types of advertising such as solo ads, article submissions, PPC campaigns, site entry and exit ads and others. They all work together and leaving off any of these will result in slower growth for your company.

The bottom line of advertising is that you MUST do it and you MUST do it consistently. You need to advertise as much as you can as often as you can with as many different advertising vehicles as you can, meaning you buy traffic, solo ads, banners, site listings, PPC, SEO and anything else you can find.

Don’t expect all advertising to work the same and don’t expect immediate results from your advertising and don’t get discouraged if you advertise and get nothing up front. Just keep trying and keep testing and trying and testing, trying and testing because this is what marketing and advertising is all about—Trying and Testing.

Paid Traffic

You can get started with traffic from in the online marketing system that I use where you can buy it for 50% off our regular rates or you can buy traffic from someone else, just as long as you do this consistently. Find out more info….

Manual and Autosurf Tarffic Exchanges

Another good way of getting traffic to your website if you don’t have cash available when you first start is through manual and autosurf traffic exchanges. I have had great success with manual traffic exchanges but there are hundreds if not thousands of them. Check out TrafficHoopla as it is a central point to help you manage the best of these exchanges and it is free to join. I have known David for many years - before he got TrafficHoopla going and he provides an amazing level of support. Follow the links that I provide and join and you will get direct support from me.

Autosurfing has gotten a bad rap from many people but if you are looking for a good way to bring consistent levels of tarffic to your site every month and expose your products to the marketplace I recommend autosurfing. In particular I recommend autosurfpro. Again follow my links and join and you will get direct support from me.

Good luck in building traffic to your sites.

Welcome to passive-revenue.com

What is passive revenue?

There is an old saying that “There is no free lunch!” or in other words nothing comes for free as is so true about anything in life. And this maxim is definitely true in internet business.

Passive revenue refers laying a solid foundation, making an investment of your resources, such as your time and your month, and then receiving a return on your investment. The internet provides us with many opportunities to generate and receive passive revenue but nothing comes for free and there is usually a lot of hard work involved.

Passive-Revenue.com will look at ways that you can build that solid foundation as you follow me in my online adventures building my own online success.
